Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne said on Friday that Novak Djokovic has the right not to receive a COVID shot, but Australia may also expel the world’s number one men’s singles tennis player. Djokovic admitted on Wednesday that he had a personal media interview and photo shoot in December, despite knowing he was COVID-19 positive. Djokovic, who took the ‘official and approved’ PCR test on December 16, also revealed that he had only received notification of a positive PCR test result after attending a tennis event in Belgrade on December 17 where he presented prizes to the children. .

On the above days, the Serb also did a rapid antigen test, which tested negative both times.

“Novak is an amazing tennis player and one of the greats of all time. No doubt. But he lied on entry forms, went out in public when he knew he had covid and is now facing lawsuits. He has a right not to get stabbed.” but Oz has the right to kick him out! Agree? #shambles,” Shane Warne tweeted.

After learning of the positive COVID result, Djokovic went through a “long-term commitment” at his tennis center in Belgrade on December 18 for a media interview and photo shoot for a French daily newspaper.

However, Djokovic admitted that giving an interview was an error of judgment and accepted that he should have rescinded the contract.

This comes after the tennis star won his appeal on procedural grounds on Monday, overturning the border officer’s initial decision to revoke his visa.

Judge Anthony Kelly of Australia’s Federal Circuit and Family Court overturned Djokovic’s visa cancellation and confirmed that the 20-time Grand Slam winner Serb will be allowed to stay in Australia.

Djokovic was also ordered to be released immediately with his passport and “personal effects”.
